Noise Pollution Investigations
Noise pollution can take many forms from
an industrial plant, a building site to a
nightclub or even domestic situation. In
each case Sound Acoustic Management (SAM) can
offer assessment of the noise using the latest
in noise measuring equipment.
If required a full end to end service is
available consisting of an acoustic
assessment, advice and reporting of noise
control solution with follow up testing as
necessary. |

Occupational Health & Safety - Survey of your Employees.
Sound Acoustic Management (SAM) advises employers regarding
acceptable noise exposure levels for employees.
We carry out an assessment using our sound measuring
equipment for each employee.
SAM will put together a formal report consisting of the
results of the employee assessment and advise the employer of
steps required to comply with Health & Safety Legislation, the
new N.A.W Regulations 2005 which became applicable since 6
April 2006. The dispensation for places of entertainment ends on 6 April 2008
and they will have to comply fully with the Legislation. |

Industrial / Construction Noise Audits
Construction noise, generally short term, can be caused
from machinery and vehicles or from road works with associated
digger and concrete breaker noise.
Precautions can be taken by determining the noise level
impact on the neighbourhood; measuring the background noise
level before work commences.
A risk assessment against BS5228 can be carried out and
noise mitigation measures put in place. |

Environmental Noise Impact Assessments
We are specialists in environmental noise impact
assessments, reporting against BS4142 (1997) and PPG 24
Planning & Noise. We have been approached by many major
industrialists to consult on large scale projects.
We have particular proven experience on working on
projects that would create noise near residential areas. We
advise how this noise can be controlled at the design stage.
Our experience is that this has involved some
additional upfront cost but more cost effective to control
noise at this stage rather than being confronted by noise
complaints. |
